🚨 A Holbrook couple was busted with enough fentanyl to kill over 42,000 people, plus meth, heroin, and “dragon’s breath” ammo, in one of Suffolk’s largest drug seizures ever. Prosecutors say Caleb Moran and Jessica Medina-Rivas ran the massive operation. Moran’s father was also caught with 80 pounds of cannabis at his Patchogue business the same day. New York Post

🛍️ After nearly nine years on Main Street, Paper Doll Curiosity Shoppe in Patchogue will close its doors by Dec. 1, owner Dominique Maciejka announced. 🏚️ Goodbye, Bowling Alley Eyesore
Progress is finally on the horizon for 138 West Avenue, the long-vacant former bowling alley. A public hearing was originally scheduled to address the building’s future, but village leaders and the property owner struck a deal instead. The owner has committed to a firm demolition deadline of December 1, 2025.
Between now and then, utility shut-offs and other prep work will take place. If the owner fails to meet the deadline, the Village will step in and handle the demolition, with all costs becoming a lien on the property. This ensures that taxpayers aren’t left to foot the bill while clearing the way for new opportunities on West Avenue.
💡 Brightening Up Waverly Avenue
The Patchogue Business Improvement District (BID) has some great news to share! At the county level, the Waverly Avenue Street Lighting Project has cleared a key hurdle, winning committee approval. The project now heads to the full Suffolk County Legislature for a final vote, which is expected to pass.
Once approved, Patchogue can begin planning the installation of new street lighting along Waverly Avenue, improving both safety and curb appeal for residents, businesses, and visitors.
