Chamber Executive Director Departs Role

David Kennedy, who has led the Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce for more than a decade, is stepping down to take on a new leadership role in the village. Kennedy will now serve as the Executive Director of the Patchogue Business Improvement District and Special Projects Manager for the Village of Patchogue, where he will oversee key development initiatives aimed at enhancing the downtown area.

Reflecting on his years with the Chamber, Kennedy expressed a deep sense of pride in the growth and success of Patchogue’s business community, which has become one of Long Island’s most dynamic commercial hubs. In his farewell letter, Kennedy shared his excitement for the future, emphasizing his ongoing commitment to the community in his new role.

Kennedy also took a moment to introduce Silvana Aloisio as his successor, praising her skills and enthusiasm. He assured Chamber members that Aloisio’s fresh perspective and leadership would help the organization continue to thrive. While Kennedy’s departure is bittersweet, he promised to maintain close ties with the Chamber and the business district.

Kennedy will attend the Chamber’s 100th Anniversary Gala on October 9 to personally thank members and celebrate this milestone together.
