A Day to Remember: Record Stop’s 50th Anniversary Block Party

On a sunlit Saturday afternoon, the heart of Patchogue came alive as Record Stop celebrated its 50th anniversary with an unforgettable block party on Railroad Avenue. The atmosphere was electric, filled with the sound of music, the scent of BBQ, and the buzz of excited conversations as the community gathered to honor this iconic music store.

Live performances by Tasty Wave, Gotta Wanna, Lipstick, and Martha Fockers brought energy to the event. Each band had its unique genre, but all shared a common thread— a connection with the audience, many of whom were singing along or dancing to the beats.

Record Stop has clearly been more than just a music store for the past 50 years; it’s been a gathering place, a cultural hub, and a beloved institution. Relocating to Patchogue in 2017 from Ronkonkoma, it certainly has become part of the fabric of downtown.
