Bellport Looks to the Future: Community Invited to Reimagine Country Club Campus

The Bellport Country Club Campus, home to a historic golf course, tennis courts, dining facilities, and community spaces, is entering a period of transformation. On September 25, the Village of Bellport held a public workshop aimed at engaging residents in a dialogue about the campus’s future. The event was part of a broader due diligence initiative to assess existing operations and plan for long-term reinvestment in the site’s infrastructure and offerings.

The campus currently operates as a mix of four profit centers—golf, tennis, a catering facility, and the public eatery Peter’s on the Green—managed under Village oversight. With the leases for both the catering hall and Peter’s set to expire in 2027, the Village sees an opportunity to rethink how these spaces serve residents and visitors alike.

Participants in the workshop rotated through stations focused on golf, tennis, food and beverage services, and new opportunities, providing feedback via sticky notes, conversations with facilitators, and a comprehensive survey.

A follow-up “In Case You Missed It” digital survey will be available on the Village website through October 10, ensuring more voices can be heard. All input gathered will inform phased improvements, beginning with a $3 million investment into vital infrastructure like cart paths and irrigation.

Community members are encouraged to visit the Village website to take the survey and help shape a modern vision for one of Bellport’s most cherished landmarks.
