A Taste of Greece Comes to Blue Point

From June 28 to June 30, 2024, the St. John’s Greek Orthodox Church in Blue Point will transform into a vibrant celebration of Greek culture. This annual festival is a tradition, attracting families and food enthusiasts with its enticing aromas, authentic dishes, and lively atmosphere.

The festival promises a culinary journey through Greece, featuring favorites such as gyros, souvlaki, moussaka, and roasted leg of lamb. Guests can also enjoy tiropita, spanakopita, and a variety of Greek salads. For those with a sweet tooth, the Pastry Booth, run by the Ladies Philoptochos, offers a selection of homemade delights including baklava, galaktoboureko, and the unique Baklava Cheesecake paired with an Iced Greek Frappe Coffee. Loukoumades, fresh fried dough pastries topped with honey syrup, are a must-try.

Beyond the food, the festival offers entertainment for all ages. There will be rides and games for children and families, as well as a marketplace featuring vendors with clothing, jewelry, and other Greek-themed items.

The festival will be held at St. John’s Greek Orthodox Church, located at 77 Montauk Highway, Blue Point, NY. Hours are Friday from 5 PM to 10 PM, Saturday from 12 noon to 10 PM, and Sunday from 12 noon to 8 PM. For more information, call 631-363-6450 or email [email protected].
