Bayport Aerodrome Society's Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser

Experience a morning of pancakes and aviation at the Bayport Aerodrome Society's Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser on Sunday, June 23. From 8 AM to 1 PM, the event at 60 Vitamin Drive in Bayport, NY, invites the community to the last remaining public grass airfield on Long Island.

For just $10 per adult and $5 for kids under 12, attendees can savor delicious flapjacks while observing a variety of antique aircraft. The Bayport Aerodrome, a unique "living museum," features Bi-Planes, Champs, Cubs, and more, offering a rare glimpse into aviation history. Live music will add to the festive atmosphere, making it a perfect outing for families and aviation enthusiasts alike.

The Bayport Aerodrome Society, founded in 1972, comprises aviation professionals, recreational pilots, and history enthusiasts dedicated to preserving aviation history. Members share their passion by offering tours of the Aerodrome and hosting various social events throughout the year.

Brookhaven Launches First Annual 'Christmas in July' Toy Drive

The Brookhaven Town Youth Bureau is excited to announce the first annual "Christmas in July" Toy Drive, running from July 1 to July 26. This initiative invites community members to get into the holiday spirit early by donating new, unwrapped toys at several convenient locations across town.

Donations can be made at the following locations:

- Sachem Library, 150 Holbrook Road, Holbrook

- Patchogue-Medford Library, 60 East Main Street, Patchogue

- Brookhaven Library, 273 Beaver Dam Road, Brookhaven

- Center Moriches Library, 235 Main Street, Center Moriches

- Comsewogue Library, 170 Terryville Road, Port Jefferson Station

- Brookhaven Town Hall, 1 Independence Hill, Farmingville

- Brookhaven Parks & Recreation, 286 Hawkins Avenue, Centereach

All toys collected will benefit Brookhaven Town’s INTERFACE Holiday 2024 Toys for Kids Program. INTERFACE is a collaborative effort between individuals, local businesses, and the Town of Brookhaven, dedicated to providing essential goods and services to less fortunate residents and tackling local social issues. With the support of approximately 150 corporations, non-profit agencies, and community organizations, INTERFACE ensures that those in need receive assistance throughout the year.
