Bayport-Blue Point Dominates Homecoming With 48-0 Shutout Victory

Homecoming at Bayport-Blue Point High School became a night to remember as the Phantoms turned in a statement win against Shoreham-Wading River, leaving no doubt with a commanding 48-0 shutout. The game marked a celebration not only of school spirit and senior pride, but also of excellence on the field, as the Phantoms executed a flawless game plan rooted in a punishing running game and lockdown defense.

Running backs Josh Franchak and Colin Reyer led the charge, each racking up over 150 rushing yards and three touchdowns apiece. The duo’s combined six touchdowns were more than enough to power Bayport-Blue Point past their opponent, allowing the team to stick solely to a ground-and-pound approach. By halftime, the Phantoms had already built a comfortable lead, and the sizable cushion gave all seniors a chance to take the field during their final homecoming game.

The dominant defensive unit held Shoreham-Wading River scoreless, bringing the Phantoms’ season tally to 102 points scored and just 7 allowed over two games.

Earlier in the day, the school honored excellence off the field with its Hall of Fame inductions, welcoming Jack Piekos, coach Neil Zarcone, Loren Generi, and community leader Stephen Cannone. South Shore Press.

🏈 Bellport quarterback Braydon Cipp ran for two third-quarter touchdowns to rally the Clippers past Connetquot, 16-7, in a key Suffolk Division II matchup. The senior captain’s 145-yard performance helped Bellport bounce back from a tough loss last week. Newsday
