🚔 Two officers were hospitalized after a man allegedly drove off with an officer partially inside his SUV during a violent arrest outside X Bar on Main Street in Patchogue around 4 a.m. Saturday. As officers attempted to intervene, one suspect accelerated while another was being pulled from the passenger seat, dragging an officer several feet. Both suspects were later stopped nearby and continued to resist arrest, resulting in injuries to both officers. Daily Voice

🚔 Three Suffolk police officers reunited Friday with the 8-year-old boy they rescued after he fell through ice on Christmas Day at Heatherwood Lakeside Village in East Patchogue. The reunion took place at police headquarters in Yaphank, where the officers were honored for their quick response. Patch

🚒 Arson Squad detectives are investigating a fire that broke out just after 11 p.m. on New Year’s night at a home on Jones Street in North Patchogue, where multiple 911 calls reported flames coming from an attached garage. All residents made it out safely with no injuries, and the cause of the blaze remains under investigation. News12

🌨️ A wintry mix is possible Monday afternoon across Long Island, with clouds building after a sunny start and temperatures staying in the low 30s before dipping into the 20s overnight. Forecasters say the mix could affect travel during the late day and early evening, though no major accumulation is expected. News 12 Long Island

🚒 Firefighters responded to a home on South Country Road in East Patchogue just before 6 a.m. Friday for smoke damage, ventilating the property upon arrival. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the incident is still under investigation. Damage appears to be limited to the structure. The Legal Advocate

🎉 Winners have been announced in Bellport’s Sixth Annual Wreath Contest, with entries #15, #22, and #23 taking first, second, and third place. Participants whose wreaths won are asked to contact Village Hall to learn how to claim their prizes, which are being generously donated by the Bellport Chamber of Commerce. Bellport Village
