🛒 Medford just got a fresh upgrade! NYS Senator Dean Murray’s office celebrated the grand opening of the new Aldi supermarket, which now brings organic produce, quality meats, and cheeses to the community. [Senator Dean Murray's Office]

🚔 A 42-year-old woman from Bayport, N.Y. was arrested by New Canaan Police on charges including identity theft, forgery, and failure to appear, tied to a broader fraud investigation. She faces over 30 felony counts, including illegal weapon possession. New Canaanite

🎭 Patchogue-Medford High made history as seniors Abigail Caravella and Kiersten Schafer became the school’s first-ever winners at the Teeny Awards for their standout performances in Mean Girls. The production also earned technical honors and multiple nominations, celebrating the talent of the entire cast and crew. MSN

🥍 Seniors Ava Meyn and Aubrie Eisfeld powered Bayport-Blue Point through a stellar postseason, starting with Eisfeld’s six-goal performance in a 15-7 semifinal win over Jamesville-DeWitt and culminating in a 17-7 championship victory over Queensbury. Meyn added five goals in the final, while Eisfeld tallied four goals and three assists, sealing the Phantoms’ second NYSPHSAA Class C girls lacrosse title in three years. WNYT

  • Bellport has launched a Name The New EV Contest to find a creative name for its new electric vehicle, funded by a $15,000 Clean Energy Community grant—submit your ideas by August 11, 2025. [Village of Bellport]

  • NYS Senator Dean Murray, in partnership with the Gordon Heights Fire Department, EAC Network, and SCPD, is hosting a Free Child Safety Seat Check on Saturday, June 14, at the Gordon Heights Fire Department in Medford from 9am to 12pm; call 631-648-7100 ext. 210 to make an appointment.

  • Fireman’s Park is hosting a BBQ & Sweepstakes on Saturday, June 14, featuring all-you-can-enjoy food, drinks, live music, games, and a $25,000 raffle. Kids enter free, and each $100 adult ticket includes BBQ entry and sweepstakes access.

  • Patchogue's Summer Block Party, hosted by 89 North Music Venue on July 12, will bring back nostalgic vibes with live bands, vibrant vendors, and plenty of community fun. Listen Up Long Island invites everyone to don their best Hawaiian shirts and join the festivities.

  • PAC-MOCA is hosting its 2025 Skateboarding Festival in Patchogue on June 29, blending skateboarding, live music, art, and a special film screening with pro skater Chad Caruso.

  • The Patchogue Arts Council is now accepting submissions for its Annual Juried Members Exhibition, Patchworks 2025, running from July 26 to September 7, with a reception on opening day.
