🚨 A gas station clerk in Bellport has been charged after allegedly selling tobacco to an underage customer during a police investigation prompted by community complaints. The 29-year old was issued a field appearance ticket and faces charges of unlawfully dealing with a minor. Daily Voice

🎄 Bellport’s Sixth Annual Wreath Decorating Contest is underway. The wreath pickup has been extended through Friday, November 21 at Village Hall (8 AM to 4 PM). 🌠 The Leonid meteor shower peaks overnight Monday, offering Long Island skywatchers a chance to see up to 15 meteors an hour under partly cloudy skies. The best viewing is between midnight and dawn, with no moonlight to interfere. Patch

🎨 Patchogue has unveiled Outside the Box, a public art project transforming six utility boxes into permanent artworks reflecting the Village’s history and vibrant present. 🏈 Bayport-Blue Point defeated Mount Sinai 23-7 to advance to the Division IV final on November 21 at 5:00 PM, where they’ll face Babylon for the championship. Collin Reyer led the Phantoms (8-2) with 100 rushing yards and two touchdowns, while Tommy Steyert added three field goals and four touchbacks.

🏑 Bayport-Blue Point’s historic field hockey season ended in the state Class C semifinals with a hard-fought 2-1 loss to Rondout Valley. The Phantoms, who recently won their first Long Island ‘C’ title, finish the season 17-2 after a standout playoff run. Newsday

🏃‍♂️ Springfield College men’s cross country team placed 17th at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional Championships, with Harry Yablon of Bellport, N.Y. finishing 100th overall in 27:51.8. The team faced tough competition on the eight-kilometer course, totaling 501 points. Springfield College

🤼‍♂️ Springfield College senior Ben Katz of Medford, N.Y. was named NEWA Wrestler of the Week after winning the 285-pound title at the Ithaca Invitational, including an upset over the nation's #7 wrestler. Katz is currently ranked 10th nationally in his weight class. Springfield College
