The Mets are tied 1-1 in the NLCS and the Yankees are up 2-0 in the ALCS. Will both teams get to the World Series? We might know by the weekend.

🚓 A Bellport man fled from an officer during a traffic stop in East Patchogue early Saturday morning, police said. The 24-year-old, driving a 2017 Hyundai Sonata, was pulled over on Atlantic Avenue around 5 a.m. but attempted to flee. He now faces third-degree unlawful fleeing charges. Patch.

🌿 Brookhaven Town's first approved cannabis dispensary, Beleaf Medford, is set to open by early 2024 after receiving approval from the state Cannabis Control Board. The undefeated team will take on fellow unbeaten Babylon in what promises to be a thrilling Friday night matchup. With both teams looking to keep their perfect records intact, this game could be a turning point as the season heads toward playoff contention.

Kylie Peregoy, a senior back from Medford, NY, and Adelphi University, was named NE10 Defensive Player of the Week after recording two defensive saves in a close 3-2 loss to No. 7 Assumption. Her second save of the game marked her eighth of the season and 26th all-time, tying the program record.
