A Century of Commerce: Celebrate 100 Years with the Patchogue Chamber History Tour
Join the Patchogue community on May 18 for a historical journey celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Patchogue Chamber. This two-hour tour along Main Street, starting from the Patchogue-Medford Carnegie Library, promises an engaging look back at the town’s vibrant 1920s business district.
As Patchogue continues to thrive as a hub of community and culture, its history remains a cornerstone of its identity. The tour will take participants along the historic Main Street, exactly as it stood in 1924, highlighting iconic landmarks like the former Roe's Hotel and the renowned "Suffolk's Famous Four Corners."
The journey begins at the historic Carnegie Library. From there, attendees will cover 1.5 miles of local history, exploring sites that have contributed to Patchogue’s rich commercial heritage. After soaking in the sights and stories, the tour will conclude with light refreshments and an open discussion about the area's historical significance.
This event is open to anyone 16 and older, and while a donation is suggested, it is not required to participate. It’s an opportunity to learn about the town's transformation over the last century, connect with fellow history buffs, and contribute to the ongoing celebration of Patchogue’s vibrant community. Wear comfortable shoes and dress appropriately for the weather, as the tour will take place rain or shine.
Spaces are limited, so be sure to register soon to secure your spot on this memorable historical tour. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/the-patchogue-chamber-100th-anniversary-history-tour-tickets-900231876777

Joining her on the first team are senior midfielder Ashley Codispoti from Patchogue, N.Y., and junior defender Sarah Fava from Lynbrook, N.Y., both of whom have been pivotal in the team's success. Codispoti has excelled in the midfield, setting career highs in goals, assists, and points, while Fava has dominated defensively, leading the conference in caused turnovers.
Under the guidance of head coach Erin Calkins, Farmingdale State not only celebrated individual accolades but also clinched their fifth Skyline title. The team's roster is dotted with local talent, including senior midfielder Kyle Kolano from Babylon, N.Y., and freshman defender Joseph Bleck from Farmingdale, N.Y., both of whom were named to the all-conference first team. Their contributions on the field have been critical to the team’s defensive and offensive strategies.
