A Tail-Wagging Spectacle: Bayminster Dog Parade and Spring Fair!

Get ready to strut your pup in the most awaited community event of the season—the Bayminster Dog Parade and Spring Fair, hosted by the Friends of the Bayport-Blue Point Library. Scheduled for April 28 from 1 to 4 p.m., this delightful gathering promises an afternoon brimming with fun, furry friends, and the chance to win fabulous prizes and ribbons in seven distinct categories including Best Dressed, Best Trick, Creative Grooming, Largest Dog, Pet/Human Twin, Smallest Dog, and Fan Favorite.

The parade is set to commence between 1 to 1:30 p.m., followed by a special segment dedicated to rescue dogs at 3 p.m. Should the weather decide not to cooperate, a rain date is set for May 5, ensuring the show will go on. Participation in the parade requires pre-registration by April 26 with a fee of $20, which increases to $25 on the day of the event.

Vendors specializing in canine crafts, supplies, care, and art are invited to enrich the fair with their unique offerings for a fee of $40 per 12’ space. From dog walkers to groomers, trainers to veterinarians, the fair is an excellent opportunity for local businesses to connect with the community. Admission for spectators is entirely free, making it a perfect family outing.

A spokesperson for the Friends of the Bayport-Blue Point Library expressed excitement about the event, noting, "It's not just about the prizes or the parade; it's a celebration of our community's love for our pets and the joy they bring into our lives. We're thrilled to provide a platform for this wonderful expression of companionship."

A Toast to Our Heroes: Daisy’s Nashville Lounge Hosts Charity Event for Veterans

In a heartwarming show of support for our nation’s veterans, Daisy’s Nashville Lounge in Patchogue is rolling out the red carpet for a special charity event slated for Sunday, April 28th, at 2 PM. .

For a ticket price of $50, attendees will be treated to a two-hour open bar and an assortment of delicious food, ensuring a memorable experience for all. The proceeds from this event will directly benefit veteran support initiatives, reinforcing the community's appreciation for their service and sacrifices.

Blooms and Beauty in Patchogue: The Eloise Staudinger Beautification Fundraiser

The spirit of community and the pursuit of beauty come together in the heart of Patchogue, thanks to the dedicated efforts of the Patchogue Beautification Committee, led by the esteemed Paula Murphy. This committee has been at the forefront of transforming the downtown area into a vibrant canvas of colors and life. From the enchanting hanging flower baskets to the meticulously cared-for downtown planters, their work is a testament to what a community can achieve with vision and dedication.

In continuation of this mission, the committee is excited to announce the Annual Eloise Staudinger Beautification Fundraiser. Scheduled to take place on Wednesday, May 1, at the James Joyce Irish Pub, this event is the cornerstone of the beautification committee's fundraising efforts, crucial for the landscaping, plantings, and various projects that adorn our community.

The event promises an inviting atmosphere with options for both lunch and dinner seatings. For an afternoon delight, lunch is available from 11:30 am to 3:00 pm at $30.00 per person. For those who prefer to dine in the evening, dinner seatings are from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, at $50.00 per person. These gatherings are not just meals; they are a way for the community to come together, share stories, and contribute to making Patchogue even more beautiful.
