Good Morning,

Winter’s not letting up just yet. Patchogue and the surrounding towns are still digging out from nearly 10 inches of snow, with another storm possibly on the way. But even with icy streets and chilly temps, the local calendar is heating up.

Let’s get into it.

  • ❄️ Crews worked to clear snow along Main Street in Patchogue Village after up to 9.7 inches fell over the weekend, with rain, sleet, and freezing temps complicating cleanup and another storm potentially happening this weekend. Officials have to decide whether to move large snow piles or leave them in place, with accessibility and business hours making overnight closures difficult. [Patch]

  • 🚒 A fire damaged the chimney and second floor of a home on Oak Street in Medford Saturday afternoon around 2 p.m., prompting a response from area firefighters, though no injuries were reported. The Town of Brookhaven Fire Marshal determined the fire was not suspicious. [Patch]
