🚨 Two teens were injured in a hit-and-run Friday night in North Bellport after being struck by a white Jeep, which fled the scene, police say. Authorities are now searching for the driver and the damaged SUV, which was last seen heading toward Montauk Highway. Patch
🚓 A firearm was recovered and two people were taken into custody after a fight broke out near a youth football game in East Patchogue, Suffolk police said. The incident happened on Richmond Avenue near Hallock Park during a Patchogue-Medford vs. Bellport matchup. News 12 Long Island
🚗 An 81-year-old man died after crashing into a tree on the Sunrise Highway service road near Hospital Road in East Patchogue Friday morning, Suffolk police said. The crash occurred around 9 a.m. and remains under investigation. Patch
🏗️ Bellport and Patchogue are set to receive major housing investments through the Long Island Investment Fund, aimed at expanding affordable housing and supporting infrastructure. 🚗 The NYS DMV announced that it will stop issuing Clean Pass stickers as the federal Clean Pass Pilot Program expires on September 30, 2025. After that date, vehicles must meet normal occupancy requirements to use the Long Island Expressway HOV lane. DMV
